Tot carrier
Thinking of buying a carrier for a old bike I have to cart Conall (2 and a bit) about - anybody out there with previous experience of what to buy?

Best for you is [2] - generally sturdy, high backed, doesnt effect the balance of the bike. down side is you cant see the bairn
[3] is ok for smaller kids. Downside is that they need to hold the handlebar and if he/she is a strong bugger that can be problematic. also if their legs are long they could stick their toes in the spokes
upside is you can see them
[1] is ok but not suitable for roads really, you'd want to be on the continent on dedicated cycle paths. the good thing about it is that its independent of the bike, so if you fall off the kids stay put, unlike the other two

I tried David's No 1, poor soul was rocked to sleep. No 2 is the best option, however I came up with an even better solution, leave your bike at Nanna's, then drop in unannounced to say hello, while sneaking out the back door for a quick cycle. Although it only worked once

We have the above one as well and it works well for use once they have good support of their heads. you can get poncho's for them as well worth while getting. you could borrow our seat for a trial run. we won't need ours till easter or so.

Got one in the bike shop in wexford thanks lads for 50 yoyos. He's as cheap as online for stuff like that
