King of the Hill - Kinsale

Post by don »

I did the King of the Hill in Kinsale at the weekend for the first time. Had signed up to it earlier in the season as I needed an extra Sprint Distance Race, but then I switched the Athy Standard back to Sprint Distance, so I wasn't going to do this. I got a call from Eamonn Tilley during the week that he was TO and would travel with me, so I sort of had no choice but to go then :o . I wasn't going to post anything, but I have to say arguably one of the most enjoyable races I've done and definitely a race worth thinking of for an away trip next year. The most beautiful scenery, excellent (but tough) course, very well organised and if anyone has been, a town worth visiting. I'm hooked anyway

Great performance Don and high praise indeed on this race from someone who has done his fair share of irish tri's. I also have to agree with you, Kinsale is a great spot!
