Re: Winter Time Trial League
Just thinking, we have a lot of new members this year, and maybe a few older members who have never taken part in our Winter league. It's well worth coming along to these. Sure they are good training, but more importantly they are sociable. In fact the very first one was dreamed up by DavidF when we were a smaller club as a way of keeping members in contact over the off-season winter months.
The winter league is also very beginner friendly. All are welcome, and don't worry if you don't have a proper road or TT bike, just get any decent bike in working order, pump up the tyres and come on. I did my first few of these on an MTB and who can forget Ed's "pub bike"! Also consider bringing the family if the weather is nice, there's a safe area for kids to run around and usually a few supporters around to keep an eye on them while the Mammies and Daddies race. There's a cup of tea and a few biccies afterwards as well.

And of course it's handicapped, so it's not about being the fastest
