Great results all round. Well done lads - Josh on a sterling performance in the junior race, Jarlath putting in a very solid performance with a great bike time, Fintan coming in 4th with a savage run time, Peter C putting in a super swim split, Niall putting in a great bike time, not to mention a booker's prize report.

Well guy's, I think I might get hooked on this tri thing. Just want to thank you all for the good wishes and support yesterday, especially Niall, Fintan, Peter, Tracey and the Hogan's who were attending in various capacities and each who provided invaluable tips and advice. Thanks all and looking forward to finding my next event.

A nice race and great to meet up with so many 795'er's and their entourages. It certainly makes the wait for your wave go that bit faster when you have company. I was happy with my bike and run time given that I don't do any bike training and run training this year has been poor. Peed off at the swim though, there was a balls up with the lane counter and me and another guy ended up having to swim an extra 50m :x It didn't make a difference to my overall time but I'd been aiming for an official sub 13min swim time for the 750m (I've done it in training) and this went out the window  My watch showed 13.45 when I hit the wall for the 800m so a sub 13 was there or thereabouts. It's a bit of a pain watching a guy you've lapped being allowed get out of the pool at the same time as you and being given the same time. Oh well!! Stonking run by Fintan on a tough course. Great performance by Josh as well.
