Couldn't ask for better conditions for the 10 miler today, and with a fast course this was a good day for most i think.
Course records broke in both men's and women's.

yea, twas great day- so well organised and great to see such huge numbers, young and old, all types! nice sunny day in the hometown and route is lovely with no major hills to contend with. It's so well marshalled and lads calling out times at each mile mark, plenty of water, by the bottle so no ending up with more water up your nose than anywhere else! MC was great too and nice atmosphere at the finish made me pick it up for the final hurdle, and get in with satisfying time for me, surprising myself after the lack of discipline of recent weeks.
i'd highly recommend this for next year, i reckon it'll become harder to get into with numbers increasing every year. It's brilliant value at 20 quid with great goody bag- proper drifit running top, and treats. I was homeward bound for the mammy's sunday roast i'd been dreaming of since about mile 6 so didn't go to sports centre, but if its anything like the set up they have for the sean kelly tour, you would have been well fed, watered and hosted.
ok, think iv sufficiently blown dungarvan's trumpet at this stage!- (but it IS a great spot!)
