It was a great evening, enjoyed by all I think. The first of many athletic meetings for Racing 795.
It was a well organised event and the cream cakes lived up to expectation. Does anyone know who won the holiday to ferns

Tom & Joy both picked up prizes which was great to see
Tom managing a stonking 20 minutes and he still getting over his injury woes!!
The Racing 795 ladies team also won the ladies team event, only SBR didn't expect a winner in that category and so had no prizes !!!
Still, fair play to the girls, it's a great achievement to pick up a victory like that on the first outing. There was hungry talk of the upcoming cross country season afterwards - can they continue their winning ways?

Nah, no story really, Martin pulled up beside me and offered some encouragement over the final half mile, then pulled away from me with about 500m to go. I gave it socks at the finish and caught a few others napping right on the line, but missed out on Martin - he was easing up anyway and hadn't seen me coming.lazyboypops wrote: Must have been a sprint finish between Martin and John.
