Summer League 2011
Re: Summer League 2011
Thanks Barry ,Joy and Yvonne for a very enjoyable evening and a great bit of training
the plotting and scheming going along the road was some craic, knew those darn mountain bikers had something up their sleeves!
would be nice to do something like this again before the year is out

Thanks to the timers and organizer. That was great fun John setting of at some savage pace at the start alot of ding dong baltles after that. still one big pack turning left after Myshal for corrabut. Thats when the pain began. wish i had one more bigger sprocket on the back cog. great race you always push that little bit harder when its a race. apperently i am a sub so you can sent the brown envelope to my house the highest bidder wins!!
Re: Summer League 2011
Thanks to the marshels and orginisers great crack chain breaking stuff so close yet so far would deffinatly do this again during the summer
Re: Summer League 2011
Great craic alright Rudolf, until I realised that you were happy to sit there and let me do all the work
The constant attack attack attack along the Myshall road was great, PJ had us clocked at doing 40km/h going uphill at one stage
Then we turned left after Myshall and it all changed with the 2 MTB boyo's disappearing up the hill
Would definitely be on for that one again, not sure whether knowing the route would make it better or worse??
Thanks Barry, Joy, Yvonne and the Furlong & Dunne kids, the cheering gallery at the top of Corrabut was great
Bad luck on Jim and Brian Yeats with the bikes

Dave F and Tom, Team 2, I gave the boys an 8min lead to carry onto the next outing, (didnt want to wrap the team title up on the first outing) so its up to you next day to claw that 8 minutes back......as im away, and will do marshal for the swim event...and will post another excuse for the trail run as soon as i come up with one....as I said this competition is in the bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Summer League 2011
So folks, to the all important scoring.
It's very straightforward really. The best two times (from the team of 3) on the night are added together. The best combined time wins. We will then combine the times from event to event and the team with the lowest cumulative time after Rd4 wins. Simples!
So here's the results from Wednesday night. You'll notice i have dispensed with the rather unoriginal 'Team 1' etc...to add a bit of spice..Only one team needed a sub - Toms Trotters and the randomly drawn sub was Paul Browne. the others who weren;t on teams were randomly put together in tems of two.
So I hope you're all training hard for the next round - 10k. Time is of the essence. It would be great to have the County 10k champ on your team eh..eh..eh..oh yeah thats our team Niall heeeheeeheee Hope you're training hard Tom
Congrats to Rudolfs Renegades, Rd1 winners
