Can anyone tell what the trail is like in Ticknock say in comparison to Ballinastoe ? Please tell me there is loads of climbing .

Never rode it Patsy but I believe it's a short loop which you'll ride twice - and there's precisely as much up as down in it Take it easy on the first lap and enjoy it.

Well that was a great day out. Very proud of our seven mountain bikers, new and old, who raced in Ticknock today. Tough lap with no let up, a massive climb followed by long rocky descent. Patsy knocked out an impressive 11th place in the mens Baggy Shorts while Lorraine managed a close 4th in the ladies and placed well overall, ahead of many "stronger" male riders! Great to see Jim back in MTB action. Miron got his own back on Nigel, and Keith did very well in his fist race. My race was disappointing, fixed the first puncture OK but puncture number 2 meant game over. No matter, roll on the next day, Well done all.
