Great stuff David, although I'm slightly thankfull I wasn't one of the participants for this collage, I'd say there wouldn't be a chopstick body atatched to my photo  . The very best of luck to all taking part, it's a fantastic race with some serious organisation done by John. We even have the great Tom Hogan as part of the team (still can't get my head around that Marathon Time), who is an even better hill runner :o . Best of luck everyone, the race report will be interesting to say the least.

Am I right in saying the finish is in Shillelagh, not Clonegal?

Yes, finishes in Shillelagh @ Parkview pub
The winners will probably come in 1/2 minutes either side of 2pm
We will likely finish sometime around 3:15pm
See you for a pint?

Captain oh captain me eye!!

Racing 795, 5th (maybe 4th??), 8:28:48 finish time

Thanks everyone who ran today ye all did a fantastic job putting in a huge effort
We can be very proud of our days racing and a sub 8:30 finish in that heat is fantastic
35 teams started this morning including some of the biggest athletics clubs from around the country, a few mountain running specialist teams, and also a few orienteering clubs who run in the mountains every weekend anyway. And our little triathlon/mtb/whateveryouwant club came home 5th - unbelievable
no official results or times up yet but will likely be there tonight or tomorrow.
General consensus seems like there will be another team next year, I'd love to run but ye may find a new captain me thinks
Special thanks also to Larry Murphy of Tinryland AC who stepped in at a weeks notice and ran a stormer of a leg 4 for us, making up 3 places while he was at it

Next years captain will have Huge boots to fill. Unbelievable work by Dempsey every time I ran out of water there he was in the middle of no where bananas, gels and water in hand .and all after running his own leg and leaving part of his shoulder on the hills.

Great day out and great effort by all.

Count me in for next year.

Only problem now is that after finishing 4th pressure is on for a podium spot next year :D
