Big cut back in the number of National Series races
Disappointing to see that Beast of the East is no longer NS
Also sad to see that Wexford tri club's Pikeman race is no longer happening

Xterra comes to Ireland in July - a race for MTB's who can swim / triathletes who can ride mountain bikes

Yea disappointing reduction in races, both geographically and time wise. No sprints after July, no Valentia, no Mourne, No Beast.... I spoke with a few guys who are saying TI are introducing more regional races for the elites, so looks like more competitive NS races and more elitist system, which have arguments on both sides, but not my preference. At the moment my races would be 3D, Athy, Hell, Two Provinces, King, DCT, but I may give them all a miss and try something else... In that humour at the moment
