Hard to believe I know, but Winter is definitely coming. Which means its time to think about a Winter League.
Something a little different this year, instead of the four road TT's, we are going to have 2 hill climbs and two TT's
The dates are as follows:
Sunday 19th October - Hill Climb #1 - Parkbridge to Raheenakit
Sunday 9th November - TT #1 - Kildavin 30km TT
Sunday 14th December - Hill Climb #2 - Tomduff X Roads to 9 Stones
Last round TBC sometime over Christmas/New Year - TBC
As usual there will be a complicated handicap system, tea and cakes and a prize for the overall winner!...Idea is to get together and have a bit of craic

Round 1 - Hillclimb #1 Sunday 19th October
Parkbridge - Raheenakit
Here it is:
http://www.strava.com/routes/1049636
For the stats people - its 4.4km at about 5%, with the last 1km around 9.5%...
We'll meet at the parking spot opposite Osborne's in Clonegal, and roll out as a group at
10am sharp to Parkbridge - about 5k. Then we'll stop at Egans of Parkbridge and go off one by one according to the handicapper, from where you will be timed to the top of Raheenakit..Once everyone is finished we'll roll back to Clonegal together for the tea and biccies..
I need volunteers for the following:
Timer at the start at Parkbridge
Timer at the finish at Raheenakit
Also be handy to know who's taking part so that I can do the handicaps...

I can't work out from the map which hill this is - is it the one directly in front of the pub or the one from the far side of the bridge ?

Getting in a bit of sneaky training Peter...
You'll be going up the hill from the bridge keeping Egans on your right

Hope to be there this Sunday. Any chance of a reasonable furlong handicap this time or am I expected to do the impossible again...
