I did this last year and its well organised. A nice early race to get back into the swimg of things - April 10th .

Good luck to all, especially Ruairi on his maiden voyage!! Don't forget to post pics and a race report. We need some Tri action after all this MTB'ing. Not to put you under pressure or anything Ruairi, but an account of the first timer experience would be interesting. :geek:

Thanks for the words of encouragement, I submitted a brief race report last night. Portlaoise was a great choice for my first Tri event. Lots of things learned, that will be put in place for the Joey Hannan. I was most proud of my time in T2 fourth overall out of 200+ competitors. Transition king!!! :D

Does your race report mention anything about your attemt to ride a triathloin with only 20psi in your tyres :D
