Re: Pulse tri Clogherhead 7th August
Well that was my worst race ever, swim was going well until I started sighting of a yellow bouncy castle instead of the buoy resulting in at least 900m swim (16min12sec), onto the bike to find nothing in my legs passed by more people than ever before including someone on a hybrid back to t2 in a horrendous 41min 51sec. On then to the run the only saving grace of the day, a first for me in not having anyone pass me on the run but then had loads of energy left since i was unable to get heart rate above 145 on bike, shaved almost 2 minutes of last years run time to do it in 19min 17sec for an overall time of 1hr 19min 13sec 97th back from 24th last year
Siobhan on the other hand had a good day no issues with goggles (although i think she enjoyed this fact too much in that she put a very liesurly swim)19min12sec, out onto the bike where she on well coming back in 42min 22sec (31sec behind me)following up with good run of 23min 32sec for a total of 1hr 27min 46sec 28th female.Happy with her days work
