wicklow way ultra

Post by Dena »

Well in a moment of madness with 6 days to go i signed up for the wicklow way ultra this saturday

Im hoping this "muscle memory" thing thats talked about is true and all last years IM training will kick in .

John Dempsey are you still racing? Also if anyone loves the trails there is a half marathon running on same day as the 50k taking in lovely parts of the Wicklow way, Sign up is through the IMRA site , no registraion on the day.

Very best of luck Dena. That will be a real tough one. What point of the Wicklow way does it take in?

Thanks Brian, think I'm going to be able to walk again today :D
I'm not sure of what sections tbh, hard ones I know that ! It was great though. Scenery amazing , wish the weather had of been nicer to take more of it in

Well done Dena, super result and a really great time!
Didn't do it myself, the current regime of 3 runs a month is not lending itself to ultra marathon running
