Best of luck lads on Monday
Ross enjoy following the pink balloons! - Sure you'll be grand, after all that preparation and marathon specific training!!

Thanks for the good lucks. I think I might need a few balloons on my belt to get me around, especially given the fact that I've put about half a stone on since IM

I'll be the one in the skin tight racing 795 jersey

Best of luck lads
Take it real easy at the start, run much slower than you want to, keep enough in the tank to run the last 6 miles

3.53/54 according to my watch. A bit slower than hoped for, I had been aiming for a sub 3.50 and closer to 3.45 if things went well. Was running at 3.40 pace and feeling ok when the wheels camp off big time at 20 miles. Last 10 km took about 1.03 and was a world of pain

Think I'll stick to IM where a slow marathon is ok

well done Peter. I hear Ross finished at 4:23, not bad for a lad with no knees and 3 weeks training
