Yeah Brian I'm racing alright. Also giving a bit of a helping hand at the registration so say hi if you're queing. They haven't told me exactly what they want me to do yet, but I'm hoping they'll give me a big stick to look after the que jumpers :D
You should definitely give it a lash Ciara, the crowd tomorrow will be very very relaxed and every shape and size. Really nice bunch with every age and ability, you wouldn't believe the people who turn up for these - cracked in the head. Don't worry about not having the base miles, just turn up and have fun :D
Hopefully some of ye can make it tomorrow, is going to be grand and mucky anyway by the looks of the weather

Great race today Brian, really good course and the weather just made it all the more challenging.
The downhills were really sloppy and fast, the wind was howling, in our faces for the first half and at our backs for the return trip.
Was hoping for a finish under the hour so was happy with 56 mins
Flew down the downhills - great craic on a course like today
Struggled on the uphills as usual, lost a few places on the second one
Here's me looking like a little old lady hobbling up the first big climb:

And completely starstruck and a little uncoordinated starting down the final fast descent:

Good man John, fair play. Pure madness going up there in those conditions without a bike though! :D

Thanks David - I think :?

The guy taking the photos (Mick Hanney) knows Tom & Dena and keeps an eye out for the jersey
Bombing down the hill he roars 'smile for your photo' at me and nearly sent me head over heels looking up to see who it was
Got out of the speed wobble ok anyway
