PA system

Post by DavidC »

Anyone got, or know where we can get a good quality PA sound system suitable for playing music outdoors, ideally hooked up to an ipod or similar newfangled music device- it's for the xc race on March 28th.

Shane, any chance you could provide some rad student music that the young people might like?

Sure, I'll look into it. How long do you want music for? A playlist I assume or something similar?

I reckon 2 hours of music would be more than enough - we could loop it if necessary. As long as it creates a bit of buzz and gives flagging mtb-ers a lift when needed.

Here's what I have thought of so far about playlist.
Please find attached a snapshot of the playlist. The yellow ones, I'm not so sure of.
Just type them into youtube and listen. It is 1.6 hours long so far.
let me know what you think.

Looks deadly Shane. I'd say you have enough there, and the yellow ones are grand. They'd make me pedal harder anyway. You probably noticed we've got Richie Byrne coming to do MC and he'll be bringing some tunes as well. Between the 2 of you we'll have plenty. Will you be around on race day?

That's some scary stuff Rudolf, I'm leaving it all to Richie and Shane so you can negotiate with them

Yeah I'll add the Fu Manchu but the Whitewater is 9 minutes long so its probably a bit too long!
Not sure if I'll be there or not, there's rumours of a family wedding that I might have to go to. I'll do my best though.
