It's back...

Hard to believe, but it's that time of year again.

This year we are going to a new location for a change. Start/finish will be at Ferns GAA club, and the route will be into Ferns, right at the roundabout by the church, out to Blackstoops roundabout and back to the start. A little over 20k.

This will be a fast course as anyone that did last years Summer League will testify. Also a good course for beginners to get a feel for what Time Trialling is like.

This will again be a handicap league and the handicapper is busy analysing times and calculating quotients as we speak..

Will there be another lady winner following in from Siobhan in 2009 and Joy last year?

All welcome including non-members so spread the word

Round 2 - Sunday 20th November
Round 3 - Sunday 11th December
Round 4 - Sunday 8th January

Ye're all very quiet out there!

Well I for one am looking forward to this. Great sociable way to spend a Sunday morning and pit yourself against your clubmates.
Looking at previous winners, Mrs Byrne must be planning an assault on the title this year, but Joy or Siobhan or Aisling might be keen to stop her! Or will we have our first male TT winner? It could be anyone, that's the beauty of the handicap system.
Who will be the swiftest? Will The Don be gone? Will Martin the Marvellous prevail? What about the Ballinastraw Bullet or the Clonegal Cyclone? Feral K could be the man if he ever figures out what a TT chainset is for. What about the likes of Brinkman, Moorhead, Hutton or Shocks? How will the mountainbikers fare against the roadies? Will the snow come again and feck the whole thing up? So many questions to be answered in this soap opera. See you for Episode 1 on the 23rd

Great synopsis David . I'm in retirement mode here, trying to motivate myself back to some sort of archaic bodily movement . It's been a lot of couch and biscuits for the last 5 weeks or so, since DCT. Looks like I'll have to take the tt bike out of it's glass display cabinet, shine it up and put it in the office here for some sort of motivation. Or will it be the mountain bike, decisions, decisions.... Well it's a week in the Algarve first

I'm on for a few of them David - could be some titanic battles in store if we get a good turnout

Well after all my enthusiasm for this I now have to work on Sunday!
