What do ye reckon about putting a team together for this?
Looks like a pretty epic race to take part in, running 104.6 km along the Wicklow Way
Barry and Frank expressed interest before, talking to Brian and Martin yesterday after the XC they seemed to like the idea

Race is set for Saturday May 26th 2012, info here: http://www.imra.ie/events/view/id/966/

Last years page and forum chat here: http://www.imra.ie/events/view/id/836/

Strictly limited to first 30 teams to enter, sold out early April last year
Cost of entry is €15 each, minimum of €60 per team
We can have a team from 2 people up to 8 people, rules regarding makeup of teams as follows:
• Teams of 2: Open
• Teams of 3: to include a lady or vet.
• Teams of 4: to include a lady and vet. (may be the same person)
• Teams of 5: to include a lady and vet. (may not be the same person)
• Teams of 6: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets. (may be the same persons)
• Teams of 7: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets. (only one may be the same person)
• Teams of 8: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets (may not be the same persons)

I'll obviously be putting myself forward as a male senior, just need a few more people in there with me?
As per last years criteria, anyone 40 or older by 31/12/2012 qualifies as a vet
Qualification criteria for a lady is hopefully obvious to all

I've no bother running 2 legs if needed to makeup a team

Overview of legs 1-8
1 14.4 km 556m 56:00
2 15.1 km 759m 61:02
3 8.0 km 126m 27:04
4 9.6 km 363m 38:25 (time=old course)
5 13.6 km 571m 53:49
6 12.7 km 566m 48:57
7 21.2 km 651m 81:10 (time=old course)
8 10.0 km 283m 33:33
Total 104.6 km 3,875m 7:17:21

Full description of each leg here: http://www.imra.ie/ad-hoc/WWR%20leg%20descriptions.doc

Would make for a pretty cool club day out
Anyone up for it?

Good man PJ, should I put you down as vet or not? :D (or call the vet)
One or two ladies now and we'd be on the pigs back

Great idea John but that's the week before TryAthy Olympic and my poor body wouldn't be up to that hardship two weeks in a row. :(

Cool Brian, lots of room, that's 3 men so far, we just need a lady or two along with a vet and we're sorted
Any ladies like to give it a shot? We can't do it without ye!! I promise lots of cake afterwards and your pick of which leg you'd like to do :) Leg 3 is traditionally for the ladies I think, but that's just habit, not a rule

Time to dig this one up again

So far the list of people on for doing this looks like:

John Dempsey
PJ Dunne
Brian O'Shaughnessy
Tom Hogan
Joy Furlong
Frank Burke (Frank told me he'd do it and I have witnesses!!)

If any of the above are not on for it anymore then please let me know

What we really need now is another lady, please please please the lovely lady folk of Racing 795, any more of ye fancy giving this a bash?
Any more lads also welcome
If we exceed the eight maximum we can split it into two smaller teams no bother

Currently 6 expressions of interest, rules say:
• Teams of 6: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets. (may be the same persons)
• Teams of 7: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets. (only one may be the same person)
• Teams of 8: to include 2 ladies and 2 vets (may not be the same persons)

c'mon girls!!

Want to get team entered over next few weeks if possible
