There's the mile in Kilmore for anyone down that next of the woods or a 10km social trot from Oilgate to Enniscorthy organised by Slaney Olympic to raise a few bob for a local charity (11.30am), walkers 11am, nice way to shake the turkey out of you and prepare for a few pints Stephens night

Anyone a little further north...
Inaugural GOAL mile run Craanford Christmas Day 11 runners 11:30 walkers & buggy pushers. GAA pitch Craanford
Never did one before but I think the idea is your turn up, throw a few pound in the bucket for GOAL and then peg it round the measured mile fast as you can to make room for the big feed later
St Stephens Day sees the annual Anchor road race in Castletown. A nice little course, it's about 9 or 9.5 k. Walkers 1:00 runners 2:00. Usually draws a good crowd (and a winner) from SBR
