Flat section for MTB with kids

Tried finding a nice flat loop yesterday with a view to bring kids this week. Went up Black banks and went into second barrier on the road after coming down steep loose rocks section on way back to LCP. Got badly lost (as above), few dead ends and had to come through a few fields before the cold or hunger got me.
Any suggestions? Maybe should have gone in the first barrier (one nearest Mt Leinster) and ended up coming out at the next one (nearest UCP) or even at the bottom of the black banks - so mainly flat or downhill.

Brian I hate to tell you I,ve tried many times and failed.

If they are young..ie 8 or younger keep them away from the mountain altogether. You'll only turn them off.

Depending on age I would try somewhere like Beaufield

Thanks David. The skills park near the pool will keep them happy and can check out Beaufield. Agree no point turning them off with climbs.
