One of the biggest things to get right, to achieve some PB's is to go out at the right pace, to fast and you blow up to slow and your stuck in a rut of doing the same old time over and over.
For Rd races i use pace predictors all the time, the other night in the middle of the latest meltdown about the IM i found this site it's a race predictor for Triathlon. Might be worth a look not only for race day, but these times are very useful to work out what pace you should be doing Tempo's and any interval work at.
Now i've yet to apply this to a Triathlon but for running it's very effective.

Pacer
Re: Pacer
I was listening to someone on the radio the other day talking about running to music.
Apparently the great Haile Gebresalasie used this tune to pace himself whilst training for his marathon world record attempt, which he subsequently broke.
So if you want to know how it feels to run marathon world record pace, stick this on your mp3 player and away you go...
