Just checked - 93 books available in Wexford Library Services on cycling, 347 on running and 123 on swimming!

Check the online catalogue - you can hold and reserve the book it online as well and get it dropped to Bunclody library

http://193.178.2.57/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/x/0/0/49

if the 5 libraries in the county don't have it then use http://www.borrowbooks.ie/ which will search the entire country network

I have 'Swim Smooth' by Paul Newsome and Adam Young if anyones interested. It's an excellent book.

I also have the 'Lance Armstrong Performance Program' if anyone wants.....(I've to be careful here, public forum and all that). No mention of.... Good read though!!

I recently got a present of the Dr. Eva Orsmond's 'The last Diet'. I wonder what they were trying to tell me  I'm not proposing that, cause none of ye need it...

Born to Run by Christopher McDougall
http://www.chrismcdougall.com/
Loved this book, a great read as well as a wealth of information on running, ultras, barefoot running etc

I've just finished reading Paula Radcliffe's autobiography (2004). Great read by a strong, determined (if unlucky in Olympics) athlete. Very happy to lend it to anyone.

That one has done the rounds alright Orla - http://www.racing795forum.com/home/view ... orn+to+run

It even inispired a certain member (ahem!) to take up barefoot running for a while, although I hear now he uses his barefoot shoes as fireside slippers :o

I've read a few more cycling bios recently, by far the best is Laurent Fignon's "We Were Young and Carefree'. It's a great read, an honest account of the pre-EPO Roche/Kelly era when the top riders were the best because they were the best attackers. Read in conjunction with David Millar's book it gives a great insight into how the use of EPO really destroyed cycling from the mid 90's onwards
