My new hero!

Post by DavidC »

With all that depressing talk about Lance the fallen hero, I feel the need to post this video of my new falling hero, Felix Baumgartner - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOoHArAz ... qW1sLE1ywh
I watched it live last Sunday and it was the best thing I've watched in years. I'm still excited about it nearly a week later! It's a great story too. The previous record for the highest freefall was set in 1960 by Joe Kittinger who mentored Felix on this jump. Felix broke most of the records he set out to break but he left one for Kittinger by deliberately deploying his parachute a few seconds early, leaving Kittinger with the record for the longest freefall. Proper heroes!

Coincidentally, here's a photo of Rudolf at the start of his ill-fated descent of Lugnaquilla. Unfortunately there was an issue with his parachute. :(

Man if I only would have had a Specialized Demo going down the cliff i might have got away with it. With all this doping going on , what about all the RedBull your man had before he jumped of the balloon?
