In the absence of an Irish rider we cheered him on at the Olympics, savage rider, finished 5th:

Very sad.

We are all vulnerable when we're on the road but we can do our bit to make things a little safer, especially this time of year when it's often dull and road conditions are not great.

For me it boils down to 3 things:
- Wear your helmet.
- Wear hi vis or bright colours (and lights if it's dark!)
- Follow the rules of the road

I know most of us are experienced but we have new members and many of us have kids so it's always useful to remind ourselves and others how to stay safe. Here's a link to an RSA cycle safety leaflet.
