Ironman Swim Time Test Set

Post by pcoulahan »

I've mentioned this set to a couple of people. It's from Triathlon Europe and it is a way of estimating your IM swim times. It's supposed to be pretty accurate.

Set is:
4x400 rest 30 secs after each
4x300 rest 20 secs after each
4x200 rest 10 secs after each
4x50 rest 5 secs after each
Total 3,800m

Take your total time from start to finish and deduct the rest period (4.15) which equals your IM predicted swim. It's a nice set and tough enough if you push the pace ;)
