Child Protection Training

Post by Martin »

Sports Active Wexford are hosting a series of Child Protection courses across the county in 2010.
The course is designed especially for sports clubs to enable them to know the guidelines when working/dealing with children and takes approx 3 hours to complete. The area can be a bit of a minefield so it's well worth a thought- particularly if you have your own kids involved in sporting clubs.

Basically it lets you know what's acceptable behaviour (or not acceptable behaviour) and what you need to know to protect your younger members- and yourself.

Since Racing 795 is an open club and we intend on promoting participation for all ages this whole area may become an issue in the future, so please consider attending.
So let me know if anyone is interested- if enough people are, Sports Active can arrange a special course for us at a day/time that suits. There's one being held in Bunclody on the 8th April 2010- it's a Thursday night- at 6.30pm, venue to be arranged.
Thanks, Siobhan
