how not to prepare for the wicklow 200

Post by niallomuiri »

Dropped the bike into the Bike Shop for a new chain and service early in the week, in prep for the Wicklow 200.....Bought a new tyre, reduced from 23euro to 18 euro...”Why would they have a special offer on Michelin tyres I asked my self as I handed over the money...Three burst tubes and a broken set of levers later I knew why, cause the fkin Michelin tyres are impossible to put fkin on a wheel rim, thats why, and real cyclists weren’t buying the fkin things.......Went to halfords who had no real selection in stock. Went to Kenny’s (man! That guy can talk and talk and talk....) in the end I still came out without a tyre.
Went to Gorey the new bike shop, met a no bull shit guy, sorted me with a Continental Tyre, and tyre levers that he uses himself...sorted, almost.......Now all we need is that black cloud that the met eireann web site have posted all week over Wicklow to move...and we’ll be sorted...wont we Barry?
