We received an award at yesterdays Offroad Commission Prizegiving Ceremony for our contribution to mountainbiking in Leinster in 2011

Thanks, happy with the prize for 3rd place. Good to see that CI giving awards to clubs for their involement in the mtb sport. Our leinster league xc race is always being mentioned by the xc racers in the country when you go to a mtb event. These prizes will hopfully give organizers and hosting clubs in the country more drive to keep up the high standard of xc type racing events. We where not the only club that got regonition for their work in the mtb sport. XC racing is still a small sport in Ireland. Hopefully with more and more people getting on the mountain bike and new trail centres opening this will have a effect on the future of xc mtb. More marathon type events will encourage riders to get a feel for xc mountainbiking. XC racing will then be the next step, and if youre a complete savage you can also win some money!
