mtb spin wednesday 20th april

now that the weather is playing ball, and tully and yeates have officially joined the savages club its time for a proper savage spin

depart halfway house at 7.15pm sharp. Route as follows:

up mullaun to the red gate
around the hill
up to the turfcutters hut
blackrock cairn (if weather permits)
helter skelter back down
up to the 7th ditch
across lanzarote
red gate
davidstown

this includes a savage climb to the turfcutters, major bragging rights to anyway who does it with no dabs. bring a light jacket for the descent

Well that was some of the most enjoyable hardship I've had in ages. Savage climbing, well done everyone, and thanks DF for organising.

Shorts and tshirts in the middle of April what more can you ask for

Rudolf is the King of the Savages, no dabs all the way to the Cairn. DC made it to the Turfcutters but got lost in the sea of rocks to the Cairn. I got caught out by a big rock on the sheeptrack on the way to the Turfcutters but made it to the cairn dab free. Tully and Brian made a good fist of it at their first attempt

Savage spin, great views alround. that climb is forever and has a great finnish to it. nearly got a high sider on the tricky right hander. cheers for organizing this spin.
