Great spin, thanks to all for coming. Highlights:

Joy's mince pies
The weather
The roaring fire in the hut
Barry's mulled wine
Rudolf's noxious spirit
The slidderiness of RocknRoll

but most of all

the company :D

A very enjoyable night.

Here's what I learned:
  • The best way to ruin a spin is by doing intervals.
Having been ruined by intervals, a spin can be salvaged by doing a nice big descent after the intervals.
Doughnuts are not popular this time of year. In my defence, there were mince pies in that bag too
Don't try to make mulled wine. Barry's is tasty and plentiful and yours won't be as nice.
    Ditto for Joy's mince pies.
On a completely unrelated note, the Winter solstice occurred at 5:30am today. The earth is beginning its slow rotation back towards northern summer. Tomorrow will be 5 seconds longer than today, the next day will be 12 seconds longer than tomorrow and so on. [Check out the Calendar] The rate of increase will grow as the planetary tilt gains momentum. The snowdrops are up, the daffodils are thinking about it, profound changes are afoot! Begs the question, why are people so often miserable in January? Maybe they don't know what nature is up to. :geek:
