Winter Running

This year we have two options for night time running:
Bunclody golf club
The club has been allowed access to the buggy paths this year again for running at night. We are free to run after dark any evening. Few rules:
1 Even after dark the bar remains open so be aware of cars on the main avenue
2 The driving range remains open after dark so avoid running in that vicinity when it's open (I have often seen balls around the buggy paths over there)
3 Respect the property in the golf club this includes the greens, stick to the Tarmac paths
4 Walkers also use the avenue at night, please try not to scare the bejaysus out of them
5 Only club members are allowed
Cross Country running
Sliabh Buidhe rovers use a stubble field just outside Ferns.
"Direction: coming from ferns pass gaa pitch then turn left for Ballycarney, the field is the second turn into the right just after this turn"
Thanks to the Hogans who managed the negotiations we have use of this on there training nights.
They train at 7pm Tuesday and Thursday and Dena will be there most nights for any of the women who want to give it a go.
I think this is also the location for the cross country novice race (open to corection)
Please respect the fact that there letting us in.
Other than that enjoy and please post up if you are going down,
running on your lonesome in the golf club is no fun
