MTB Spin - Ballinastoe Sunday 15th UPDATED

Post by BrianM »

One of my friends has been contemplating taking up MTB for some time so I am bringing him to Ballinastoe on Sunday morning on the 15th for an introductory spin as there is bike rental available there and the Coilte single track is good for such an activity.
Aiming to be on the bikes for 9.30am, will be going through the basics in the car park first, tyre pressures, basic techniques etc and then head out for one lap of the long loop at a nice easy pace.
A good chance for anyone else who is interested to come along and check out the trails there. I will try and pass on my limited knowledge but if any of the more experienced members in the club fancy coming along and giving some input that would be excellent.
It is usually cold and windy up there this time of year so bring a light jacket and some food etc like on a normal spin. Coffee is available at the hut there when finished. I might also head out for a second lap.

Ok Nigel, cool. Also a good heads up for the biking blitz series next year if you were thinking on doing any of them as this is the type of trails they are run on

Good stuff Keith and Slawak.

Yes that would be excellent Rudolf.

Lads, Rudolf is fast and deadly but also a trained guide so not to be missed.
