The stopping is over. It's all go now.

Here's my theory in writing...

Now that the new season is approaching everyone wants to push a bit harder. So, rather than everyone climbing at the pace of the slowest rider, anyone who wants to push ahead on a hill should do so, and when they get to the top, roll back down to ride up again with those coming behind. Then all go on together to the next hill and so on. This will have the effect of keeping everyone moving all the time, and will help bring on the slower riders without slowing faster ones down. Everyone's a winner.

Thoughts?

Great idea.

Then on Sunday afternoons we can name and shame the slackers just like Scuttleman did last week

eg

"That was a mighty spin. Especially when we got to the top of Croghaun and had to spin down the fetch Conway who was climbing like he was going up Everest without oxygen."

my thoughts on the spins would be , we all only have a limited time and i myself feel bad if i hold up the quicker lads as its yer spin and we really are just tagging along and finding our way , as were getting to know the areas and trails i,d have to bother in someone saying to be to meet them on route or at at certin part or piece of single track , maybe tell us a short cut or we take a different route and meet ye there , dont get me wrong i love going with ye and having the crack but i hate to mess up your spins and delay ye guys . we,l keep going on other days and slowly but surly we,l get there and get the strenght up . :D

Nigel when a spin post says all welcome thats what it means

Sure Conway and jim used to hold me up something awful when we started but sure I stuck with the fookers and look at them now the savages...

DF is right about the welcome Nigel, though his recollection of the early days is somewhat suspect!
The way I see it, if we plan it properly everyone can go together and get faster together and gradually the gap narrows. And we all have deadly craic slagging each other off in the process! There was a good spread of abilities out on Sunday and everyone went home more than satisfied. Except the unfortunate Hennessy of course. I think we'll call that little bridge Hennessy's Brake from now on.
