Monday night Mountain Running

Post by lazyboypops »

I intend going mountain running on Monday evenings for the summer season.

Normal run will be one hour duration, pace to suit whoever turns up.

Meet at upper carpark Kilbrannish 8pm Monday May 11th and then every Monday until further notice.

If you haven't ran in the mountains before this would be a good opportunity to get an introduction. We have some fantastic trails and if you go for a run on them you won't want to go back to road running.

Trail runners are recommended but not necessary.

If you want any further info or directions give me a call on o87 2i895i4

When I get the go ahead to run again  I'll join u sometimes defiantly .
Maybe we could even move it around, get a car pool going . I know John Dempsey might escort us around Tara hill, I live on sliabh bui, shaughs might show us the fort in wex?

I'm also going to do a few of the wed night IMRA LL later in the summer.

Hope to make most of these Jim . Some crack with the banter the hour will fly by . Beth said trail running is great for strengthening the ankles and legs .
Trish and I got new Ascis Trail runners in the Kildare Village . Good value . Elverys do them online . Heatons also do Karimor brand . And JD sports in Carlow also .

Could give the odd tour around Croghan, Annagh & Tara Hill if any were interested, would be weekends though.

Weather is looking bad on the mountain tonight so won't be running at 8.

Next week as usual weather permitting.
