Hi all I dreamed up this idea one night after a few beers.
A road spin to commemorate 1916.
1,916m of climbing.
Departing the square Bunclody next Friday ( Good Friday) at 8am.
It involves 3 accents of Mt leinster and a bit. Its around 95km.
Back in Bunclody at 40km (after 2 accents of MT L) or so if anyone wants to just do some of it.
Probably grab a quick cuppa and fresh supplies out of the back of a car at this stage also.
All welcome but bear in mind everyone climbs at a different pace
Route:
Bunclody square
Up Mt Leinster and across to 9 stones
Down Corrabut and across to Tomduff.
Up Tomduff and down to Bunclody.
Up to The Forge across to Myshall and up to Corrabut.
Across to the 9 stones and down to Kiltealy.
And home via a trip up Franks hill to get to 1,916m!

Re: 1916 commemorative road spin!!
Weather looks good for the morning. Cool to start but no rain.
The 40 km loop with 2 climbs is 40 km long and has 1,000m of climbing.
Don't forget on the bikes in the square at 8am sharp.

See you in the morning, will probably have to pull out after the 40km loop, depending on the time and how the legs are holding up..I plan to cycle in so by the time I get home maybe Ill be commemorating 1798...
