Weather looks changeable for next day or two but if it clears up on Wednesday DF and I are planning to visit the quarry around 7 to do a bit of light maintenance. Then we'll reward ourselves with a few runs down Courtown. Maintenance should only take 15-20mins with a few helpers and then the fun can start. Lights needed. Cycling up or car pooling is a good idea as parking is limited. If anyone needs directions give myself or DF, or Rudolf or Jim a shout.

What's needed for light maintenance?
Shovel/spade or strimmer + hedge cutter?

Haven't been up there myself but I think it's just clearing back a few briars and branches. I'll bring the loppers. DF has a little handsaw. That should be enough. We can cut a couple of sticks to beat stuff back if needed but it's mainly just pulling stuff out of the way.

horse damage is gone now, walkers have flattened it down again.
i have some tools, i may try to bring them up in advance. a couple of slash hooks and loppers will do. all that needs to be done is:
clear entrance to courtown (10 mins with 2-3 people)
clear entrance to pheasant pen (5 mins)
bit of briar clearing around the back of the pheasant pen (5 mins)
if there's no parking space there come down and park at my house.

Great track there!
Google maps will change the way we give directions from here on I reckon - this is the entrance to the quarry:
