well folks, it's back to the quarry. meet at the gate at 7.15pm. if anyone needs parking come down to my house.
i've done some work up there at the top and the track is now all good. i've raked out in the dark wood so that the track is obvious and i have cut the fallen tree out of the way. there's another big tree down but i've just made a little detour around it. around the other tricky parts of the track i've put orange flagging tape so that you can see where you are going.
Courtown is in fine shape, lots of autumn leaves, but as long as you keep pointing downhill you'll be ok...
i'd encourage everyone to come along for this one, it's a bit of a slog up, but the top track is in really fine shape and bone dry. as rudolf says it's a great place for learning how to deal with slippy roots and the twisty turny nature of the course is great for skill and balance. the savages can do fast furious laps and practice their passing techniques on us mere mortals...
hope to see y'all there...
