well folks, it's back to the quarry. meet at the gate at 7.15pm. if anyone needs parking come down to my house.

i've done some work up there at the top and the track is now all good. i've raked out in the dark wood so that the track is obvious and i have cut the fallen tree out of the way. there's another big tree down but i've just made a little detour around it. around the other tricky parts of the track i've put orange flagging tape so that you can see where you are going.

Courtown is in fine shape, lots of autumn leaves, but as long as you keep pointing downhill you'll be ok... ;)

i'd encourage everyone to come along for this one, it's a bit of a slog up, but the top track is in really fine shape and bone dry. as rudolf says it's a great place for learning how to deal with slippy roots and the twisty turny nature of the course is great for skill and balance. the savages can do fast furious laps and practice their passing techniques on us mere mortals...

hope to see y'all there...

great spin/training session. the rain did not stop us. thanks to DF for clearing the trail and putting some tape in place.
The craic on courtown was great with people crashing on the hidden roots, pinning corners and some tree hugging. thanks Joy, for the hot cup of tea. see you

the most fun and pain i have had on a spin in a long time, in equal measures.

highlight was getting crashed into by rudolf at the end coming down courtown. "well i couldn't pull my brakes or i would skid' says the dutchman

or brian reporting his lap time as 33 mins............or was that 13 mins...... ;)

if you want to know the times you will have to pedal up there and look in the blue folder....

well done to everyone for coming out on such a miserable night

 it was a sad 13.41 run but i'm to put don's thiery to the test with a 15% improvement with the spinning classes. That knocks off 120 seconds another 30 seconds could be saved by just knowing were the hell i was going  rudolf better watch out.   great spin.
