Team Championships 2021

Hi all,
just gauging interest in running a teams race along side the club championship races the way it would work would be as follows

we have 8 different events with 3 races in each event
duathlon
road bike race
CX bike race
MTB race
TT race
river swim
Trail run
5km road run

so there would be teams of 4 (hopefully a good mix of abilities to cover all disciplines) scored on the position they finish in the race eg. if a team places 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 10th that would be 16 points as the first 3 team members to finish score, as there are 3 races in each event the whole team doesn't have to compete in the same race they can get the 3 places over the 3 races, ( you can take part in all races but your score will only count in the first one you do ie. you wont get points for the remaining 2 races if you completed the first race of that event)
if a team fails to get 3 finishers over the event then they will be awarded last position in the 3rd race of that event
so at the end of all 8 events the team with the lowest amount of points wins

its a simple enough format kind of like the athletes Ireland teams road race if you are familiar with it I am working on some sort of prize for the winning team aswell for some extra incentive

as this is the first time running this event it might need some tweeking as we run it but should be fun and more competitive as this is about winning where as the club champion is about over all improvement through out the year

feel free to create your own teams or we can pick team captains and they can pick the 3 members to complete the team
