Balls only seen your plea for help now Frank . Sorry ...lucky Trish was there so .
What a great event last night ..it was super . Everyone was delighted with the whole thing and thought it was a great introduction to racing.
Well done to Don , Niall , Mike for Marshaling and a huge thanks to Frank for organising the event . Top class as always . It was great to see new faces with some travelling from Wexford town and Kildare also . Roll in the last and final round in 3 weeks .

Thanks guys for organising, I didn't spot the requirement for marshals so sorry for not offering, I was very much an "also ran" but as always I enjoy the 795 events and the camaraderie. Well done all!

Great turn out on Friday night. Well done to all for taking part and to Don, Niall, Trish and Mike for marshalling.

Results are updated here - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

And below are the details for those new to the event....

Location of meeting point is here

Spellman Park

https://goo.gl/maps/m6y4nhAX4Ao

Please note that any club member that are not partaking in this event are more than welcome to come along for a cuppa at 8.15. A few might retire to Conways pub for a pint after, so bring dollars!

The route has been marked and has 4 left hand turns and one straight thro junction.

https://www.endomondo.com/routes/766229585

It is a 25km loop for both men and women. We have two intermediate sprints planned along the route. Each sprint finish line is highlighted 500 metres before by a R795 yellow 1 and 2 run km marker sign - these are on the road verge.

All turns and finish lines for two intermediate sprints and actual finish lines are marked on the road in yellow spray paint.

The first intermediate sprint finish line is at approx halfway and the second is at approx 20km

This race is one of three and so there is a points system to decide the overall winner in the ladies and mens races.

Points system is as follows:

Overall winner of each race gets 10 points, second gets 8 points and third gets 6 pints.

Winner of each intermediate sprints gets 3 points, second gets 2 points and third gets 1 point.

Next Friday is the last of the club road race type training sessions

> We are starting earlier again due to light conditions so....

> Ladies start from Kildavin bridge start line at 6.30pm and fellas start at 6.45.

> If Juniors are coming - would suggest that they start at 6.15pm, and are accompanied by a parent/adult and that one parent drives behind them in a car with flashers on!

Registration from 6 if juniors coming. Registration from 6.15 for the rest. Please post if coming so we can plan food etc
Folks high viz and lights a must.

Need 4 marshals

Can't make this one, Kevin plans to be there though if he can get back from work in time.
