A Bit about Pawel......

We all have a mission in life. Mine is to teach and coach swimming. Swimming is the only sport that can save your life and I am genuinely passionate about teaching this life-saving and life-enhancing skill.

I have over 20 years experience in coaching and teaching both children and adults. Having been a competitive swimmer and coach for so long, I understand and teach all the different swimming stages, from beginners to club and elite level. Being on my high school and university swim teams and competing at swimming galas and open water races, has given me an in-depth knowledge of the sport. I had the honour to learn from many fantastic swimming coaches: Shelly Taylor-Smith, Glen Christiansen, Paul Newsome, Adam Young, Leszek Kalczynski, Jerzy Troszczynski, Anna Carin-Nordon and many others. Many swimmers I have taught, have reached and won medals at national swimming competitions.

I offer various programmes and personal training sessions to members including one-on-one teaching, small group training sessions, children’s swimming classes, intensive swimming courses, stroke video analysis, personal swimming programmes and nutritional advice.

I teach everyone - children learning a life skill, adults who are fearful of the water, tri-athletes who need to get a head start with their swimming and swimmers looking for technical improvements. I also work with those with various injuries or health issues who are looking for a low impact exercise that they can practice without worry.

I take a different approach to swimming, focusing on how the body moves through the water. I explain how to relax, feel and enjoy the water, letting it do the hard work for you. I'm creative with my teaching techniques and I constantly develop new exercises by practicing swimming myself every day. I'm always looking for new ideas to find easier ways to feel the body in the water.

Having qualifications and experience as a personal and body building instructor, my approach is multi-disciplinary. I consider the psychological and nutritional aspects of wellbeing, as well as the physical and technical requirements of swimming. This holistic approach helps improve motivation and build self confidence and also has real and tangible health benefits. I am determined to find, make and help people to reach their maximum potential.

I will give you the tools to become a relaxed, confident swimmer. I tailor an individual approach, learning to understand individual biomechanics and working with you in a way that suits you. I gain great enjoyment out of sharing my experience and passion. My ability to explain how to feel and understand the water makes me the coach you are looking for!
