Given the easing of restrictions from Monday, 8th June 2020 and advice from TI over the weekend allowing up to 15 people to meet for sporting activity subject to social distancing safeguards remaining, I'm running a Tuesday TT session for the next six weeks. The routes will vary in distance between 9k and 29k.
The start location is either north or south of Scarawalsh roundabout (N30 / old N11) depending on direction of travel each week.
Its going to kick off this Tuesday evening at 7.30pm with people starting at 1 minute intervals on a short 9km course - just south of Scarawalsh on the N30 to the next roundabout and back. Route details are https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900750
It's a self timed event, on a very good road surface with a hard shoulder. Normal rules of the road apply. It's open to all, its not a race, it's only you against your own clock.
Parking is available on hard shoulder on the south side of Scarawalsh (N30). Please park on the left as you travel from Scarawalsh and exercise care when exiting vehicles. Similarly when finished, please cycle to the Scarawalsh roundabout and return to your car to ensure safety and avoid unnecessary crossing of the roadway
Routes proposed for the following weeks are:
Week 2 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900906 - 12.5k
Week 3 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900762 - 14.5k
Week 4 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900754 - 16k
Week 5 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900918 - 22.5k
Week 6 https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32900846 - 29k
As always, please stick to the current HSE and TRI IRL protocols regarding range (within country or 20km) and physical distancing at start /finish.
