Road Racing in April

Post by BShaugh »

There is a ton of racing on in April.
Would be good if we could field teams in the county races if possible - they are all close to home and good value.
Below will be good blowouts for all the triathletes with the season just around the corner

1st April - Bank Holiday Monday - 10Km in Rosslare, good fast course if the wind doesn't blow!

7th April - County Senior road race hosted by SBR in Ferns

14th April - 5 mile starting and finishing on Vinegar Hill - good prep for anyone hoping to do Blackstairs C.

21st April - Wexford Half and 10km - doubles as the county half marathong race

26th April - County Intermediate road race in Ballycarney

28th April - Kilrush 10km

County race race is on this Sunday in ferns. Men's race is 10km and the ladies is 5km.
Could be a good course if weather plays ball. Only a fiver to enter. Would be good to see a few 795 jerseys out.
Starts at 2pm

Not going to make Ferns this Sunday Brian but hoping to be at the intermediates later this month in Ballycarney. I'd a real good run on that course in 2010 so looking forward to giving it a shot again.

Also lads, Slaney Olympic tend to run a really good summer league that does generally be on weekday evenings so keep it in mind for the coming months.

Well done to Shaughs and Paul Brown who represented Racing 795 in Ferns today. Shaughs finished in 19th place in a time of 37-28 and Paul finished in 39th in 42-35.
Big congrats to Tom Hogan who retained his fourth consecutive county title and his fifth overall :D
