TT League Rd 5 - 17th January 2010

It appears that the weather Gods are starting to smile again, so just a reminder that Rd 5 of the Time Trial league takes place this Sunday, 17th January. Same time and place as usual - 10.00 am sharp at Spellman Hall, Kildavin.

I hear that turbo trainers have been whirring all through the cold snap so no doubt there will be some keenly contested action.

Tea/coffee etc.. afterwards. Bring along your own snacks.

Barry/Frank/Paul H are marshalling and time keeping. I feel some penalties coming on!

All welcome, members and non-members. If you are coming along for the first time, make sure your bike is in good working order, you have a helmet and that you familiarise yourself with the route, which will be posted on our website.

Keep an eye on the website, as in the (unlikely) event of changes due to weather, announcements will be made there.

I drove the Kildavin/Myshall road this morning. Still some slush on the road and plenty of water but looking good for the TT on Sunday. Believe it or not, the biggest problem might be the grit left on the road.

No major potholes but it's a bit rough in places. My ol' MTB might be a better option than all your flashy TT bikes.
