Intermediate & advanced run session

Post by pjd »

As I mentioned before Orla has kindly agreed to take a group for a run session.
This is aimed at the intermediate & advanced runners in the club.

It's on Tuesday 21 st May at Ardatin track after kids running so 8pm.
It will run for aprox 1.5 hrs.
The session will include the following:

'A snapshot of the theories, techniques, training and tactics of running.'
Over the course of the session, we'll touch on the following:
- Warm up with dynamic stretching
- Running drills to improve form, speed and strength
- A look at what the ideal running form should look like.
- Try a little barefoot running - technique, cadence and stride length
- Core stability and running
- Injury types, the 4 main running injuries, injury prevention
- Essential running stretches"

Post here if coming.

Thanks Orla for taking this on.
