Wow FIRST! what a result , it really is a fantastic achievement Dena , well done. A first for you, a first for the club and a first for the ladies wayhey . With the season coming to a close soon you really have set a marker, must be a fabulous feeling to cross that finish line knowing that all the effort you have put in over last year has been paying off. Its all those sarcrifices,comprimises ,juggling family life and committement to training rewarding you and the family, lovely photo of you all on face book . Enjoy the feeling and keep onwards and upwards.

Big thanks to everyone for all the comments. I had a great race, felt very strange to lead from the water spent the whole race waiting for someone to pass me, but it never happened and I got my first win.

The race itself was a lovely course, swim was a 750m horse shoe shape in a bay, the bike is rolling with nothing to big and the run is very scenic over the cliffs and down into feathered. Best part of the whole race for me, was coming in the finishing straight and seeing the hubby and my 4 bambinos in their bright red jumpers smiling and cheering me on.

Twould be hard to top that feelin. Based on Loughrea performance, it was on the cards - serious result.
