Its that time of year again !lights lights lights
I just ordered one of these 1,400 lumen bad boys http://dx.com/p/ssc-p7-2-xp-e-16w-3-mod ... uded-36018 combined with the 900 lumen magicshine already strapped on my helmet I should be good to go... Ill report on it when it arrives. If you hear of any UFO reports in south Kilkenny you will know what happened

Re: bike lights
Jaysus Brian that light looks very like Mickey Mouse! Should be good though.
I've resorted to a cheap Chinese one via ebay courtesy of Tully's research. He found it even cheaper after I ordered it!!

It has the light of a thousand suns but may only last a month!

Re: bike lights
Haha it does alright but the addition of the button on a cable that can be attached to the bars or front of your jacket (if strapping to your helmet) sold it for me, no more clambering about for the low setting button on the rear when I come across the odd walker or two. 3,800 lumen I wouldn't attempt to strap that to my head for fear of burns/explosion Was reading some guy on the mad forum with 3,000 lumen and thought that was mental but 3,800!!
Re: bike lights
Let me know how good they are David C. I'm looking for a set for running and maybe a bit of biking.
Re: bike lights
Will do PJ.
Brian, I reckon the 3800 lumens claim might not stand up to scientific scrutiny, will report back when field test complete!

Cut and paste from a mtb spin post (double posting )
Just to point out I haven't seen these in action yet and the battery pack will need some home waterproofing with duct tape, as per standard magicshine battery packs.
3 x T6 light: £25.99 + £4.99 shipping:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3xCREE-XML-T6 ... 3a84588e3b
Single T6 light that Nigel bought: £16.49 + £3.99 shipping:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CREE-XM-L-XML ... 3a81f73f7d
But look around! If searching ebay, limit to european shipments only or you'll likely be hit with customs charges.
