Re: Summer League MTB and Tri
Thanks for tonight lads, Just compared tonights effort to this years Eddie Tobin race. The laps were 42 & 43 minutes that day in a large bunch so 45 tonight was good going. Thanks again

Good man Mick
Twas fair torture from where I was sitting after being shelled out the back after early heroics. Must leave the heroics til later next time ☺
Thanks to Jim for organising this and the other events although id say the Summer Leagues days are numbered given the general dismal showing, including tonight.

This event was great Craic as always. Mick did most of the work out the front an still had lots in the tank - fair play. Thanks to Jim for organising and Nigel for marshalling
Re: Summer League MTB and Tri
Well done Mick! Great craic as everyone else is saying. DF tried a couple of early breaks which immediately set the tone of the race. Around Carnew we stuck together as there was road traffic, but once the left turn towards Clonegal was made the breaks came thick and fast
DF broke again and I countered, creating a gap. When the lads reeled me in DF had gone out the back. Everyone tried a further break with Mick doing most of the damage on one. Needed the rest of us to organise and chase hard to catch him.
We were back together by the last left back onto the Carnrw Road and Mick found another gear going up the hill. I just hung on! Mick led us out from there to the finish and was a worthy winner, no one else able to go to the front in the final kms.
Thanks to Jim again for organising the series and to Nigel for support.

Re: Summer League MTB and Tri
Although we were small numbers at last weeks road bike race it was great craic. Eyeballs out for 45mins in the pouring rain. How could you have any more fun
For those who missed out/were too lazy/have never raced etc. I'll organise a rerun next Thursday evening Sept 4th. Same format, meet at Market Sq. Bunclody at 6.45 and roll out to Coolmeelagh. We need numbers to make it interesting so I'm asking to get 10 people committed to racing on the night.
Sign up here, it'll be great craic, and for those who haven't raced before and are afraid they will get dropped, the bunch will wait
