I have put together a spreadsheet with everyones results for the TT League so far. It makes interesting reading to look at the average speeds from round to round.
Only 3 people (of those who have completed 3 or more rounds) have improved from Round to Round. They are Barry, Siobhan and Joy. No surprise then that they occupy 3 of the first 4 places on the league table as by improving from round to round they are keeping ahead of the handicapper.
The fastest person to date is PJ Dunne having clocked an average speed of 32.1kph in Rd 1 and a course record of 55:05. Unfortunately for PJ it's been all downhill since then. Maybe he's saving the best for last.
Martin and Olly are the only ones to average over 30kph at each round. I have a feeling Paul Hutton would be in that group too if he had pumped his tyres before Rd3! Martin tops the list of the speedsters with an average of 31.1kph across the 3 rounds he has completed. He also holds the course record on the shorter course – 46:22
Of the ladies, Dena has posted the quickest time averaging 27.1 kph in Rd 5. The ladies course record on the long course is held by Aoife Joyce who was a visitor in Rd3 – 1:06:27, Dena has the quickest time over the short course – 53:56
But of course we all know that it is not all about being the quickest - it's a handicap league, and as it stands Siobhan is on top, with Joy, Martin, Barry and Paul in hot pursuit.
