Tinahely Tri Club's first event was very sucessfull and well run. They had well over 100 competitors, including plenty of beginners. The run was out and back through a forrest walk route (with a small bit of a loop at the turning point) and was very flat. It was a little bit congested at the start but no one seemed to mind. The cycle route brought us through Tinahley, on to Shillelagh, then up past Coollattin golf club and back to the transition area on a back road to Tinahely, that bypasses Coolboy. A lovely scenic route which was not too hilly for an event held in Tinahely. The best spectical of all was the Bank of Ireland, which was demolished by bank raders earlier that morning using an excevator! I diddn't find it as hard as our club duathlon earlier in the year, which is of course down to all the hard training put in since then. ;)
